Subgrade Reinforcement for a New Heavy-load roadway. The primary engineering challenge lies in the soft, swampy ground conditions prevalent in the region, which offers low bearing capacity and is prone to significant differential settlement. The project aims to ensure long-term stability and distribute traffic loads effectively under high rainfall and moisture levels.

Project solution: Biaxial Geogrid

The geogrid was installed at the interface between the subsoil and the gravel base course. Its high tensile strength and interlocking structure mechanically stabilize the aggregate, confining the particles and reducing lateral spreading. This creates a stiffened mattress that enhances overall load distribution and minimizes permanent deformation.
