Appearance and Structure
Zhonglong Reinforced Geotextiles (Geogrid-Geotextile Composite) are consist of PP (polypropylene) staple geotextiles and geogrids by heat-laminating, which forming a regular mesh-fabric composite structure on the surface. The upper layer is a needle-punched nonwoven staple geotextile, and the lower layer is biaxial stretched PP geogrid. The two materials are tightly bonded together and form an integrated composite sheet. Generally, The roll width is 5.8 meters (for convenient container transport), and the length is customizable.
Production Process
Zhonglong Reinforced Geotextiles apply a heating lamination process. Reinforced Geotextiles are made through hot-melt bonding PP biaxial geogrid with staple geotextile under specific temperature and pressure. Due to their similar melting points, the PP materials undergo slight surface melting during heating, firmly bonding the geotextile to the geogrid's nodes and ribs. The finished composite product combines the high modulus and low elongation of the geogrid with the filtration and isolation functions of the geotextile.
Functions and Scenarios
Zhonglong Reinforced Geotextile integrates three major functions: reinforcement, separation and filtration. The geogrid provides the reinforcement function and the staple geotextile provides separation and filtration functions. These three key functions make the reinforced geotextile suitable for engineering scenarios that require both strength and drainage, such as soft soil subgrade reinforcement, high fill slopes and heavy-duty pavement base layers. At the same time, the polypropylene material itself possesses excellent resistance to acids and alkalis, so it can maintain a relatively long service life in extreme environments such as landfills, coastal or subsea projects.
