Pre-Chinese New Year (from now until the holiday period): Inland transportation and port operations in China will gradually slow down due to the holiday, potentially reducing shipping efficiency. Inland transport costs are expected to increase accordingly.
Post-Chinese New Year (from the end of the holiday until the early March): After the holiday, containers at ports will be shipped out in concentrated batches according to orders, which may lead to tight vessel schedules and corresponding increases in ocean freight rates. Inland transportation is expected to gradually eturn to normal as operations fully resume after the holiday.
Overall Impact Estimate: In summary, total shipping costs around the Chinese New Year period may be approximately 20%-30% higher than usual.
