Geogrid is a geosynthetic material characterized by a regular grid-like structure with open apertures, formed by intersecting ribs that provide high tensile strength. It is primarily used to reinforce soil, aggregate or other geotechnical materials by interlocking with surrounding particles, to improve load distribution and stability.

Why can biaxial stretched geogrid be used to reinforce soil and other filling materials?
Soil possesses compressive strength in the vertical direction and is widely utilized as a fundamental fill layer in road construction due to its low cost. However, under prolonged traffic loads, the subgrade soil tends to experience lateral displacement or spreading, which leads to rutting, subsidence and even complete functional failure.
